Pride 2026 · Rubine Red Gallery
November 1 – 15 · Palm Springs

Rubine Red Gallery's Pride 2026 exhibition is devoted to the work of Troy Schooneman: two decades of fine art male nude photography and constructed imagery, shown together across five collections.
The exhibition follows the archive as it unfolds. Figures appear first as form, then as individuals, then as artefacts, as remembered presences, and finally beside age itself.
The Collections

Photography I · 2002 – 2007
Anonymous studies in form, light, and composition, made under a pseudonym.

Photography II · 2013 – 2020
Portraits of identity, presence, and the distinct life of the sitter.

Constructed Imagery I · 2022 – 2023
Fictional artefacts carrying the authority of archaeology, sculpture, and museum display.

Constructed Imagery II · 2024
Imagined figures suspended between recollection and invention, recovered rather than created.

Constructed Imagery III · 2026
Youth placed beside age, and the fragile continuity between generations.
Each body of work possesses its own language. Seen together, they return to a single subject, and to what remains after time has passed.
