ABOUT THE WORK
Veiled in shadow and crowned with olive leaves, Filius Mythologia emerges like a figure from myth: part demigod, part dream. His dark skin catches the light in painterly gradients, echoing the chiaroscuro of Renaissance painting. With one hand lifted to his throat and eyes closed in reverie, he appears less mortal than carved—an offering to memory, legend, and the sublime.
The title—Latin for “Son of Mythology”—places the subject within a pantheon of imagined gods. But this is not a static idol; his presence is alive, searching, electric with inner life. The photograph reimagines classical ideals through a contemporary lens, offering a vision of masculine beauty that is reverent, sensual, and unmistakably modern.
